If you are or have ever needed a flashlight that isn’t dependent on constant battery replacing then please continue reading.

With so many options for solar rechargeable flashlights and lighting in general, we decided to give NPET T10-5 Solar Flashlight a try.

This particular flashlight boosts a zoomable 1,000 lumens, with 6 different working modes. It also has a window breaker and seatbelt (rope) cutter. There’s also a magnet on the side so you attach it and use it as a work lamp.

To recharge the lithium-ion battery that comes included, you have two options. One is the solar panel on the side and a USB charging port on the other side. Also, note that there is another USB port in which you can charge other USB devices such as your mobile phone.

If that wasn’t enough there is also a compass on the end of it. If you remove (unscrew) the compass it reveals an alarm siren.

Our Thoughts

Overall this is a solid flashlight that we have used for going on 8 months as of today. We haven’t used the window breaker so we cannot give an opinion on that part.

Our Rating

The NPET T10-5 Solar Rechargeable Flashlight gets:

Patriots Prep Independent Product Rating:
out of 5 Stars

The reason for the rating is that while it states it is waterproof we don’t believe it is. As the image below shows the USB cover isn’t secure enough to waterproof the ports. In order to make this waterproof, they would need to change this. However, you could place some kind of tape or plastic wrap around it. But, that might not be a complete solution either.
